A journey, not just a party
Hamid's 50th birthday isn't a single evening — it's a full week across Morocco, designed for the people who matter most to him, and the others. From the heat of Marrakech to the blue streets of Chefchaouen and the Mediterranean coast of Tamuda Bay.
All inter-city travel is organized — private minibuses connect each destination. You book your own flights and accommodation, and Hamid has done the work of curating the best options at every budget.
The itinerary is flexible — join what works for you, skip what doesn't. The only non-negotiable is the Solar Eclipse Brunch on August 2nd. Children are welcome, and family-oriented activities are designed so they don't interfere with adult time.

Before the main group gathers in Marrakech, join Hamid for an unforgettable two-night journey into the Sahara Desert.
Depart July 24 from Marrakech in private air-conditioned minibuses over the High Atlas, with lunch at Aït Benhaddou and a night at Hotel Xaluca Dades. The next day takes us through the Todra Gorges to Erfoud, then by 4x4 into the dunes. To join the Sahara tour, plan to arrive in Marrakech by Friday July 23rd at the latest — that's cutting it close if your flight is delayed. Hamid arrives in Marrakech on July 21 and will be staying at the Kenzi Rose Garden until we leave for the Sahara on Saturday July 24th.
If you're arriving early, the Kenzi Rose Garden is a great pre-departure base — on expedia.ca, a double room runs about €123/night for two people, which is a steal. If you're more than two people and don't care about having a large swimming pool, I recommend the Hotel Amani. For something a little more upscale, the Sofitel Marrakech is very close to the Kenzi.
Spend a night in a luxury desert camp under an extraordinary sky, with a camel trek before sunset. Return to Marrakech on July 26 in time to check in and get a good scrubbing at your local Hammam or your own riad's.
This add-on is entirely optional — but highly recommended for those who want to experience the true magic of the Moroccan desert. So far, most confirmed guests have opted in to this trip. 132 people are confirmed for the Sahara tour. Rooms and tents are now assigned — new sign-ups by request only: contact Hamid.

On the morning of August 2nd, a total solar eclipse will pass over the Mediterranean Sea — visible in totality from this exact location. We will gather on the terrace of the St-Regis La Bahia Blanca, Tamuda Bay to watch the sky go dark over the water. Hosted by Hamid.

Getting There & Around
All inter-city transport is organized by Hamid. You book your own international flights.
Fly into Marrakech Menara (RAK) if possible. Guests arriving at Casablanca Mohammed V (CMN) will be transferred to Marrakech by private transfer organized by Hamid (~3 hrs by road).
Nonstop flights only, as listed on Google Flights on September 17, 2026 — for arrivals in Casablanca (CMN) or Marrakech (RAK) on July 22–23 and departures on August 3–4. Local times, 24-hour clock; “(21/07)” means the flight leaves the evening before and lands the next morning. ✓ = August 3 flight you can reach from Tamuda Bay with the 5:00 AM minibus; any earlier flight on August 3 cannot be reached — fly on August 4 instead. Some low-cost airlines have not loaded their full summer 2027 schedule yet, and schedules can change: always check before booking.
Private air-conditioned minibuses depart at 8:00 AM. One direct route for all guests, arriving in Chefchaouen mid-afternoon.
Early-morning departure for a full day in Tangier (Hercules Caves or Literary Tour), dinner in Tangier, then late transfer to the Tamuda Bay hotels (arrival around 10–11 PM).
Group minibuses at 5:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM — to Casablanca airport (CMN), Casablanca (Hassan II Mosque) and Marrakech. Full timetable under “Departing”. ⚠️ A flight from Marrakech on August 3 means the 5:00 AM minibus.
Group minibuses leave Tamuda Bay on August 3 at 5:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM — to Casablanca airport, to Casablanca with the Hassan II Mosque visit, and to Marrakech. Guests leaving from Tangier (airport, ferry or train) will also have their transport organized by Hamid.

Direct minibuses at 5:00 AM (at RAK airport by 3:00 PM), 7:00 AM (by 5:00 PM) and 9:00 AM (by 7:00 PM). ⚠️ Flying out on August 3? Take the very early 5:00 AM minibus, and book a flight at 5:00 PM or later.
Transfer from Tamuda Bay organized by Hamid. Flights to France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy. Expect most flights out of Tangier to already be sold out because of the eclipse.
Transfer organized by Hamid to Tangier Med port, Tangier Ville port or the Tangier train station. Al-Boraq high-speed train to Casablanca in 2h10.

Everything you need to know before you go.
Getting lost is part of it. The medinas of Marrakech and Chefchaouen are intentionally labyrinthine. Drop a pin on Google Maps at your riad entrance before heading out. When you need directions, ask a shopkeeper — not a stranger on the street.
